Hi all,

Got a problem with rman :

- I have made a backupset of the system tablespace.
- I have manually deleted the backup file ( using OS command - BYW I am on W2000 / 8.1.7)
- I have set the backupset as unavailable.

now, I have tried everything but I can not find out to completly suppress the backupset from the repository.
( I do not have the backup file which is permanently deleted).

I have found the solution :

- I have put back the backupset available : change backupset 251 available;
( thought at first, it would not let me as the file no longer exists).

Then :
crosscheck backup;
which had for result to set the backup as expired and then

RMAN> delete expired backup;

...sorry for the question...I just have probably enough for today
