    Oracle 9i portal..how to

    Hi all, I just installed 9i database on my xp box, now I'd like to download 9i Portal and try it out. My question is, do I have to install the whole 9iAS package to use oracle portal. Thanx

    Hi

    The oracle9ias thingy consists of two seprate things

    a)Infrastructure
    b)Middle tier

    Now if you wnat to install portal..You should first install Infrastructure which is mandatory and then in the next install yopu should select portal and wireless and then you can install portal.When you install portal it would ask you for infrastructure home and some other things like Single sign on user name and password etc..
