    HWM for temporary tablespace

    Hi,

I have a temporary tablespace that has a high number of HWM blocks (1470). Is there any way i can remove these blocks like those in data tables using commands like "alter table my_table deallocate unused" ?
    thanks.

    Hi,
I think you can just ignore it.Oracle will remove these extents when you shutdown . And these used extents can be reused by other sessions when needed, so that oracle do not need to allocate and deallocate everytime some sessoin need disk sort
