    OCP 8i to 9i

I found this on website somewhere and I was just wondering if this is true. If I'm OCP 8i Certified, do I have to take the Oracle 9i upgrade test within 6 month period after Oracle announced OCP 9i tests?

    Continuing requirements:
Oracle will periodically announce requirements for recertification based on the release of new products and upgrades. You have 6 months after the announcement to recertify.

That is untrue...there is no "re-certification" for Oracle. Once an Oracle8i OCP, you are always an Oracle8i OCP. If you choose to upgrade to Oracle9i, you will then be both Oracle8i and Oracle9i OCP.

39/57. You will however get 68 questions and 11 will be discarded.

At least this was the case when I passed it last year in January.

    1. After the test, does the report specify which questions (at least the topics) were discarded? I'm almost sure the answer is "NO", but why not ask?

    2. What is the exam time? 90 minutes? Is it enough. I will take it very soon (this month).

You obviously have not clicked on the link that was provided for you. If you do, you will immediately see the answer to your second question.

    stecal,

You're right, sorry. I didn't read all the posts carefully.

    My first question remains.

No more breakdown of areas. Raw score pass/fail only.

There is no breakout by area, but if you pass, the score report will list some areas that you might want to review.
