    data dicitonary hit ratio

    data dicitonary hit ratio is varying recently from 50% to 75 % on one of our database (oracle 817 on Sun solaris). Its recently Started doing that and I 'm the backup dba for this database. Not sure exactly whats going on. Its seems the extents on tablesspaces, tables are created randomly.

    Most of my miss ratio is on tablespace extents, segments etc. Objects with randomly created storage options cause this much problem ??? Any ideas ? Is this pretty common ?
