I'm using ORACLE 9i and working on SPARC machine.
My SQL INSERT statement is like this
EXEC SQL INSERT INTO Tooldtls (
    toolid
    ,toolname
    ,toolcost
    ,MC_DELETE_FLAG
    ,Tooldtls_ver
    ,DM_LstUpdDt
    ,DM_classType
    ,DM_CreatedAuthor
    ,DM_UpdatedAuthor
    ,DM_CreatedTS
    ,DM_UpdatedTS

    ) VALUES (
    :h_toolid_CR
    ,:h_toolname_CR:i_toolname_CR
    ,:h_toolcost_CR:i_toolcost_CR
    ,:h_MC_DELETE_FLAG_CR
    ,:h_Tooldtls_ver_CR
    ,TO_DATE(:h_DM_LstUpdDt_CR,'YYYYMMDD')
    ,:h_DM_classType_CR
    ,:h_DM_CreatedAuthor_CR
    ,:h_DM_UpdatedAuthor_CR
    ,TO_DATE(:h_DM_DateTime_CR,'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS')
    ,TO_DATE(:h_DM_DateTime_CR,'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS')
    ) ;

The host variables over here are getting populated properly.

    Thanks in advance.
    Abhay.
