Oracle memory problem
Hi,
All of a sudden we are observing that the Oracle.exe is consuming a lot of memory (150MB) in our server (which holds 256mb Rram). As a result our EAI tool application keeps hanging very frequently and this has now become a major problem. How to clean the table space and how can we free more memory?
Thanks in advance

Has there been any changes to the SGA parameters for the DB or is there a sudden increase in the number of users or the the size of the queries they are executing?
256Mb seems small to be running both Oracle and an EAI tool on the same box.

The cleaning of tablespace is not at all the criteria, remedy is either extending the space in the datafile allocation or monitor the transaction level and moreover the regularised EAI which is consuming 150MB is small amount considering the application size,......understandable. So it is your prerogative to enhance the SGA size since your application is growing.
