    Hi Friends

I have install oracle9i but I am not able to connect to sys account it is giving error "Invalid User name and Password"
I am assuming the password of sys is same i.e change_on_install but I am not able to login form this password also.

    Thanks in advance

    You can try following stuff.

    1)Check the connection string

    2) If you have Oracle on Wondows 2000/NT, did you give any password while creating the service (oradim -password )
as this will change the password

    Regards,

    try to connect as

    username: sys
    password: change_on_install
    host: ORCL as sysdba

    or connect sys/change_on_install@ORCL as sysdba

As sys, make sure you use the appropiate connect string. Or you can connect as system/manager using the sysdba role.
