    error in alert.log

    Hi Friends

    I am getting this error in the alert.log file, I would be very thakfull if anybody can tell me why is it coming and what I need to do?

    Errors in file /export/home/oracle8/admin/hungama/bdump/hungama_s007_10958.trc:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [16365], [2789235208], [1], [4], [],
    [], [], []

    found dead multi-threaded server 'S000', pid = (28, 13)

    found dead multi-threaded server 'S004', pid = (21, 181)

    hey Shailendra,

    The error message in NON DATA CORRUPTIVE and basically means that
    there was a half duplex violation.

    This means that shared servers and dispatchers (MTS) can not be writing to the same virtual circut because they use a half duplex protocol for communication.

    Application designs cause this sporadically, where clients
    1- are sending new data requests without waiting for completion of previous request
    2- multiple clients using the same socket

    use sqlnet tracing and check if this persists, otherwise i wouldn't worry about it.

    Same problem without Trace file generated, and finally I got "Timed out trying to start shared server S000" then database went to hang.

    Windows 2000 Advance Server with Oracle 8.1.7.4.5
