    Checkpoint

    Hi folks,

    Is the checkpoint only event which initiates
    DBWR to write dirty buffers to the datafiles.

    Is there any other event which initiates DBWR ?

    The events which trigger the DBWR are checkpoint, timeout, or when more room is required in the buffer cache for user requested blocks.
