disaster recovery test

Dear Gurus,

How to implement disaster recovery in Oracle Apps11i Database.

My current Oracle Apps Version is 11.5.6 and Database version 8.1.7.3.0

I am going to be performing a disaster recovery test in January. We will be recovering our entire system at a remote site. I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer. I will be using a hot backup to restore from but I am going to need to sync this database with another system. Which means I need to recover until a specific moment in time. The backup I will restore from will actually be prior to the time I need to get to, but I will have the
archive logs to apply. Once I recover the database and get it opened, how do I apply archive logs from a later time than what the control file is?
