    Ora-12545

    Hi all,

I am getting this error while trying to connect to 2 instances.
I have 3 instances in my SID_LIST_LISTENER list for the listener and I have no problem connecting to the 3rd instance.

When I stop/start the listener, I can connect to all instances for about 5 minutes. Then, if I try to connect to these 2 instances, I get the error.

I created these instances a few days ago and I never had a problem connecting to them before.

What can I look at to try to solve the problem?

    Thanks.

Replace the host name with the IP add.

    Thanks to all that helped.
I found the solution on Metalink.

They suggested I add the host IP address in the mts_dispatchers statement in the init.ora file.

I made the changes, stopped and retsrted the instances and was able to connect with no problems.
