Oracle Version 9.2.0
Problem: I followed the instruction to change the database name. When I executed the script to startup nomount ...., it gave me ORA-600. I reduced the sort_area_size but it did not work. Has anyone having this problem before? If yes, how did you fix it?

As with any ORA-600 error, I suggest you open a TAR with Oracle Support.
