    Oracle Hot backup Script

    Hi All,
I'm running Oracle 9i Rel 2 on Linux 7.2. Right now we are doing a weekly cold backup and daily exports (full). My MGR decieded to go for a hotbackup. Does any one has an Exhaustive (comprehensive one) script for a hotbackup. Please let me know any URL or post the script if any one has a such.

    thanks in advance

Read RMAN manual for comprehensive concept understanding and complete guide of Backup and Recovery.

I can not see any point to do hot backup through script (placing online tablespaces in backup mode) instead of RMAN. Also, you can use script with RMAN.

In this page, in the tittle (I think very descriptive) SCRIPTS, you will find some scripts for doing backup
