oracle 8i requirement under windows NT 2000 professional

Hi all,

Anybody out there has experience install oracle 8i under NT 2000 professional? I downloaded both personal edition and EE edition. After I extracted to my hard disk and double click setup.exe nothing happen. Am i missing something here? Can anybody give me some advice, please?

if your PC is pentium 4 you have to do some tricks to startup the installer, search P4 in the forum

Thank you for replying. I search the forum for P4 and found out that I need to rename symcjit.dll file to something else. Re-run the setup.exe and it worked. Thank you.
