    turn on audit trail

    i have 8i on unix. how do i turn on the audit trail feature ?

    is it audit_trail=true
    or
    is it audit_trail=db ?

    Either will give you the ability to use auditing. Just make sure you turn it on with the AUDIT command.

    how come i'm not able to audit anything in UNIX but i can in NT .

    i have audit_trail=true in the init file.
    i restarted the database
    i issued audit select on myemp;
    then i did some select statments on myemp table
    i view the audit result in user_audit_obj
    but got nothing (i do get something in NT though)

    what am i doing wrong in UNIX ?
