ORA-00600: internal error

Hi,

User is getting the following error message in front end when he tries to save the transaction.

Front end : VB 6
Back end : Oracle 8.1.7.2

According to my ora friends and other sources, it seems there is no particular specific solution for this error message as it depends on the arguments like 1742536 and 1196840 in the message below.

Where can I get the info./more details about these arguments ?

Three things to do here ...

i) Search on google for that argument list - you might get lucky there.

ii) Contact Oracle Support -- you do have a support contract, don't you?

iii) Upgrade to 8.1.7.4, 'cos Oracle Support probably won't even think about looking at an 8.1.7.2 internal error if they don't already know what it is.
