How do you get the icons underneath your name?

In your user profile settings select "user options" and at the bottom of the page you have the option to add your Avatar.

    Okay...thanks!

Under Avatar i clicked "more information"... and a new page says "Here's the list of currently available avatars:" and there are none.

So, do I need to upload my own avatar? If so, any thoughts about the picture that I upload (jpg, gif...a certain size)?

Not sure what file types are supported but it has fit within the following:

50 by 50 pixels or 20000 bytes (whichever is smaller)

I downloaded many graphics all claiming to be 50x50 but when I try to upload in edit profile I get the error "That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 50 by 50 pixels."

    any advice?

Is the file size below the 20000 bytes limit?

    Windows 2000

In explorer the Size says 2k.
When I right click and choose properties:

    Size 1.90kb (1,954 bytes)

    but then it says:

Size on Disk 4.00kb (4096 bytes).

Jovery...do know a web site that you can suggest that has pictures of right size? And yes I need to get out more

I just did a search on the web for 'icons' and it returned quite a few sites that had free images.

    Good luck finding something suitable
