Question on Grants
Hi,
Why cannot a user with DBA priveleges (sys/system etc) grant rights on an object owned by somebody else.
I mean whats the significance of it when they can do anything they want with the object.... for example drop, alter login as that use etc etc.
There has to be some logic behind removing this functionality and I dont know about it.
Thanks

There's a little more to be said about this feature:
- It's not "any 9i" that offer this, it is only 9iRel2 (9.2) that has this feature enabled
- You doesn't have to be logged as SYS to use this feature, any DBA account will do (actualy any account that has ben granted new GRANT ANY OBJECT privilege, either directly or via role).
