I hope somebody can help me with this. I am new to Linux and am having nothing but problems getting Oracle installed on it. I have went by many different instructions that I have came across on the web, users groups, and metalink, but I do not find anyone that has the same problem that I am having.

According to many instructions I have came across, during the installation the instructions say to be sure to set the JDK home directory to /usr/local/java......however I am not getting that option to do so. After I select the UNIX group, run the orainstRoot.sh script, designate where to install Oracle files, select Enterprise Edition, general database, SID name, language set, and then it is ready to install. I am not getting the option for JDK home or OUI home. Again, I am new to Linux so this is probably something so basic, but if anyone has any input I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you!!!
