    Red face

    hello
i started today the recovery process. I created a cold backup with noarchivlog files, control, redo log and datafiles. Than I deletet tthe old oracle instance and built the same one again. I moved the saved data, redo and control files into the new place. Than I done the followed steps.
    1: svrmgrl> connect internal/ora@Instance-name
    2: svrmgrl> shutdown immediate
3: deleted the new control, redo log and datafiles
4: moved the backup datafiles, redo, log files int the same place as before.
    5: svrmgrl> startup mount
    6: svrmgrl> recover database
than I become a message, that the db is not in the recovery mode.
    7: svrmgrl> alter database open
the database opened, but I doesn't get connection via the dba studio.

I hope you find a answer of this question
    thanks toto

Did you update the init.ora file for the control files and arch log files.

cannot connect with DBA studio does not mean anything to me, if you cannot connect locally with sqlplus then I would be worried
