Morning Jack9190,
Someones been playing with the site again haven't they.
Anyway your question.
I believe B is correct.
The NOARCHIVELOG appears to be a red herring.
A catalog is optional unless you want to store RMAN scripts in a schema.
EBU is from Oracle7 and is not compatible with RMAN
RMAN only working with tape media is a load of tosh.
Where did you get the question from?
Cheers

Hi Jack,
As you probably know, there are some twisted qustions in the OCP exams so this one is probably fair enough.
I can only say, that the best on the market are Self test Software (worth the cash) although the Sybex ones aren't bad.
Having said that, Sybex is pretty shocking for IZ0-025. Don't even bother readiong Sybex for RMAN.
A good supplement is the B&R reference and RMAN pdf files from Oracle.
PS You UK or just and early/late riser?
Cheers

...I used SyBEX for other exams but I don't think it's the best for Bkup & Reco...using it made me postponing my Iz0-025 exam...until I read the pdf docs from Oracle.
A is wrong bcos RMAN can work w/o Catalog
C is wrong bcos RMAN to the best of my knowledge is not compatible with EBU.
D tapesystem is one of the medium that RMAN works with.
I will go with B as suggested by ngdh
OCP 8i DBA
I'm still learning
