Thread: maxextents unlimited?

    Hi

    I was planning on changing maxextents to unlimited, is this a good idea? Also will the performance be impacted if I have 100extents of size 10M(next 10M) instead of 2 extents of size 500M(next).

    yes, no... no, yes... it depends... do what you feel is right in this case, it can change from table to table and database to database.
