Hi Sureshgane,
I used Jason couchman's book 'Oracle 8 DBA Certification
Exam guide' and STS.
Now a dyas, Exam Cram is available for each paper
which is purely Exam Oriented so you will find these
books are very helpful to exam point of view.

You can also visit http://www.education.oracle.com for
more info on certification and student guide.

The Jason Couchman's book is not a good one. Though I bought the book I did not read much in it.

I agree with Tamil, Jason Couchman's book is dry, but consists of good theroies. I'm using Exam Cram Series by Coriolis publication, for Pl-Sql, Administration & Backup & recovery. I believe the perfomance tuning guide is not yet released. The authors being, debbie wong, Paul Colins & Michael Ault.

Hello aarganesh,

Also Performance tuning is available. I used it for the Performance tuning exam.

As a preperation for the exams I first read Couchman. Then after that I read the exam cram.
After that I read the online oracle 8 documentation.
During all this I practice a lot.

When feeling confident enough I do the exam.
