Thread: proper use of listener

    Hello all, I've recently installed two different Oracle servers on a same box, can I use one listener (the older version) for both database servers. What are the things I should be aware? Thank you

    Hi,
    Yes u can use a single listener to listen for many databases on your machine.Run the Oracle Net8 Assistant to configure the database listener for this database.
