Thread: oracle binaries from SCO to Linux

    Hello
    I have quite old database in Oracle 7.3 version on SCO Openserver release 5. Now I have to change my OS on Linux Debian, but I don't have any database installation on Linux, and I need any script, programs wich enably me start oracle binaries from my old database on Linux. It's urgent!!!

    I think you will need a database install disk from Oracle for the version of Linux you have.

    What you are suggesting will be prone to corruption.

    Once you have eliminated all of the impossible,
    whatever remains however improbable,
    must be true.

    i think we cannot copy oracle binaries from one operating system to another operating system . some oracle dll's might be specific to Operating system .
