    Hi everyone,

I must set up a MTS - Shared Server configuration on Oracle 8i platform. Does it exist a step by step installation procedure to complete successfully the configuration.

Can anyone explain me how to create the DB and what parameter must I change ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Pretty broad based question there.

Do you have any experience in oracle? If not read a concepts manual to understand basics and parameter issues

In your case do a typical installation using the database configuration asst. from the prog files/oracle/database administration on the desktop.

My friend... Tarry is 100% right... Its surprising to see you getting upset.. Unless you understand concept.. you won't know the difference.. and you will just build 1000 of questions to yourself...

Heres a link if you don't have

    http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/...rocs.htm#19210

    Read the concepts first...

When you start installation using DBCA.. You will be prompted..for server configuration..

    Dedicated Server or Shared Server
