    Hi Pando,

    In One of your posting I saw you using FET$ table. can you tell me the significance of this table? can you please mention such tables(apart from DBA_,ALL_,V$,User_) which will be useful to DBAs like me. I even tried DBA_Tab_Comments. But no comment was there for this table.

    Hi,

    FET$ table gives you the no. of free extents available.
    Basically these are the base tables in which Oracle (really) stores the data about all the objects and their related informations.

    You can find a listing of all these tables and how they are created in a file named sql.bsq. You can find this file under \rdbms\admin folder.
