Thread: Daily Export

    I do a daily hot backup and a daily database export in addition to a weekly cold backup. Is it necessary to do these exports daily?

    Hello,

    One of the big advantages of the export is to be able to restore just a table or a set of table (dopped by mistabke).

    With the hotbackup, you will not be able to do that (unless in special situation or when you intend to use Logminer).

    What's the point in taking weekly cold backups if you perform daily hot backups?
