I install oracle server and developer2000 on the same machine at home.
I create database in oracle server and some tables.
I open form builder and I would like to connect at oracle server to reach some tables.
but I haven't the IP adress and chains of connection (at home) .
at work it works because I have the IP adress and chains of connection but not at home, what can I do ?

I don't know very well Developer but I think that if the IP address is needed by the product, you can define it (if you are using NT/2000 or Linux). Try also 127.0.0.1

You can simply leave the DBconnect string blank since DB is on the same machine.
If for some reason your ORACLE_HOMEs are different this may not work, in that case, just put your computer name (check properties in MyComputer ) in place of IP address. Use Esy Net Config tool to define the connect string.
