    Hello,

I passed 1z0-030 9i upgrade. It was not realy difficult.

I used the two 9i new feature books from oracle press (Benjamin and Freeman) also used the stuff from Tim Hall and the pdf from Howard Rogers.

    So now I'm OCP in 8, 8i and 9i.

The only word on version 10 sofar for me is when I created an iTAR which ended up being a bug which will be fixed in 10.

(strangely enough Oracle support still referred to 8.2 a few months before 9i came out.)

Well 9.2 will be highest 9i rdbms so next year the exam circus will start all over again.

    Nice one Tycho!

Not sure what I think about Oracle10i and certification. I think I might bow out of the whole certification thing now as I'm struggling to see the point. I've been Oracle9i certified for nearly a year and only one company I've worked with has started to use 9i and then only for development. If Oracle10i is released next year most companies will be 2 versions behind with no immediate plans to upgrade. I don't see the point of keeping up to date when most companies don't bother.

The whole version thing has become a publicity farse. Added to that it's another way to make money be releasing another set of exams.

I suppose I'll have to wait and see how motivated I am by the time the next engine is released.

    Cheers

I've done that job on one of the reefer carriers(frozen goods) inside the holds. You know laying pallets, slinging during loads/discharges etc.
