Does anyone know what this means.

kccrsz: expanded controlfile section 11 from 937 to 951 records
requested to grow by 9 record(s); added 1 block(s) of records

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks

look V$CONTROLFILE_RECORD_SECTION for 951, it's probably something about archived logs

It means that Oracle had to add some records to your controlfile (you could also noticed that your controlfile grew in size when that happened). Some sections of controlfile are reusable in circular fashion, yet the parameter CONTROLFILE_RECORDS_KEEP_TIME controls how long records in those reusable sections must be kept in there before they can be reused. The defoult for this parameter is 7 (days).

In your case section 11 refers to ARCHIVED LOG section. It had to add some new records, because all records archived logs in the controlfile were younger than your CONTROLFILE_RECORDS_KEEP_TIME. You can check all the reusable sections of the controlfile by looking at V$CONTROLFILE_RECORD_SECTION.

It is nothing to be worried about that message, except maybe you should check your CONTROLFILE_RECORDS_KEEP_TIME setting.
