    IS IT POSSIBLE TO RESTORE THE UNUSED COLUMNS IF NOT THEN WHAT IS THE USE OF MAKING IT UNUSED.

    you cannot restore an unused column

    we set it ununsed to prevent locking/performance problem when drop a column, set unused then drop at late night when noone is connected to the database

    Remember you can restore anything with incomplete recovery (if you have a backup) and you do it fine if you know logminer. But it would be such a hard work for just a column... if you can`t do it, then as pando said it`s not possible to restore an unused column.
