Thread: altering partitions

    Is there a syntax to alter a partition (in a partitioned table) to change its maxvalue? Or would I have to drop and recreate the partition?

    If anyone knows, please tell me!

    You want to change the constant MAXVALUE? Can't do it.

    Or, you have specified a partition with a high value which you will now exceed? You will have to add a partition with the new value and merge partitions.
