Standby Database

Hi,

I need to setup a Standby Database. That will be far away from this site.

Therefore I would like to know what all tasks does I need to perform on that server after it comes up.

Means Once I set up the server at a remote site, what tasks will require me to login to that server from here.

One thing i know is
- For any structural Changes like after I add a datafile , i need to issue command 'alter tablespace add datafile'.

What more is required.
