    Hi,

    I m running Oracle 816 on NT 4.0. / 2 GB RAM / SGA 1104

On checking in Task Manager I can c that Oracle.exe is taking Memory to the tune of 1482704 KB.

IS IT HIGH on a system with 2 GB RAM.

What can i do other than adding more RAM to the system.

    How it affects the performance....

    Vijay

I think it's rather high. It's not the VM ,is it?
Adding more ram will not help if you reactively keep increasing the shared memory, sga as on NT you can't have a process consuming more the 2 Gigs.
So i guess if you find it worrisome try tuning your queries and containing your memory usage.

    Hi,

    I understand that is high.

How can I find that all of that is in RAm or in PageFile (VM),

I hv a pagefile of 10 Gig, As i m also running SAP CI on the same Server.

My parameters which contributes towards a session are also not very high.

    What could be done.
