Thread: Database Export Backup

    Hi,

    I have an Oracle Database (8.1.5) on WindowsNT(ver 4) server. I want to take full export of the database from my machine Windows98 Loaded with Oracle 8i Client (release 3).

    Can someone tell me the step by step procedure, How to do it ?

    Please suggest me other than NT scheduler .......

    You could do the export normally through your tnsnames. Take care about the version of your client because if it is higher than server for import you will do in the same mode or run the catexp script for the version you did the export.

    I tried it thru. tnsnames but while executing the exp it is giving version error.
