    Hi all,

I have the database named A running, and I yesterday I tried to create another database B by copying the parameter file from the database A and modify to create database B.

any way, when I tried to run the created database scripts, I got the errors:

ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameter.

So the new database B was never created.

today when I connect to the database A, it's not available. When I tried to startup the database and I the same message as above.

could someone tell me what happened here???

    thanks

Possibility for overwritten files of A by B. Check the scripts you have run to create B and try restoring from A backup and bring A online...

I hope your database b create database didnt overwrite your controlfiles by not changing their locations for database A?? check your timestamp. One note: always doublecheck your work!!
