    Unhappy

    Hello everyone,

Does anyone know of any zip utilities that can work on 20Gigs+ files? I need a zip utility for any of the Windows OS. Winzip has a 2Gig or 4Gig max. Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Afshin.

Try filzip, which is available at downloads.com

    or try

    http://www.cygwin.com/

    which has a zip util.

But doesn't Windows have a limit on file size, due to it being a 32 bit OS?

The files were created on Win 2000, so I guess Win 2000 doesn't have a 2 or 4 Gig limitation. I downloaded and installed the program, but in the user manuals I do not see any reference to compression or zip. Its been a while since I worked with UNIX, what command do I need to run? Thank you.
    Thanks,
    Afshin.

I would try filzip first, but try man zip in cygwin, if already have it installed.

JFYI, PKZIP 5.0 does not have a file limit.
    Thanks,
    Afshin.
