I'd like to to schedule a job to check if the dbsnmp process is running on our Production/Test server and if not to restart it.
Has anyone got a script to do this?
Win2K
Oracle Failsafe 3.1.2
Oracle 8.1.7
Thanks

If I remember correctly, you can accomplish this by setting an event in Oracle Entreprise Manager.
Hope this helps

Thanks. Unfortunately, we don't have OEM.
From command prompt
lsnrctl > dbsnmp_status
Should say Oracle subagent already running.
How can determine if the intelligent agent is running via the command prompt?
Thanks

I suggest install OEM
or
You can also check it out by checking the 'services' on windows and the serrvice as OracleAgent.
The command still would say that the subagent isn't started even though it is started.
