I bought the statspack book by Don Burleson and was disappointed. If you are looking for a guide to the data model behind the statspack data and you want to write your own tools, this is a good book. However, if you want to understand the statspack report and tune from it, this book is a major disappointment. I learned more about statspack from the few pages of Thomas Kyte's book than I did from Don Burleson's book.
