    THe installation of Unix binaries depends upon the flavor of Unix, and you have to get it from that particular vendor site. Oracle binaries are installation is slightly differs with the flavor of unix you will be using... you have to goto Oracle Metalink for documentation on specific platform.

    If you have Solaris 8, I can give you a step-by-step all-you-need-to-know-and-do install guide for 8i and 9i.
