Hi,
Im getting this error message when I tried to open my database. Anybody could give me some advice, please?
SVRMGR> Connected.
SVRMGR> ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
SVRMGR> ORA-07252: spcre: semget error, could not allocate semaphores.
Intel SVR4 UNIX Error: 28: No space left on device
SVRMGR> alter database mount standby database

You need to check your OS kernal parameters. Add the requirement parameters or increase value of the parameters.

Hi,
This is what I have. Any recommendation? I have about 3 open database and 2 standby database.
SEMMNI 400
SEMMNS 400
SEMMNU 400
SEMMSL 700
SEMMAP 400
SHMMAX 1073741824

sometimes it's because the semaphores are not cleared when you shutdown an instance
use ipcs to check if it is shutdown cleanly and ipcrm to free/delete the resources
