Thread: Any tool to convert MS Access Application(front end) to Oracle Forms?

  1. #1
    Hello gang,

I have a MS Access 97 application which the client wants to convert to Oracle backend and some other front end! Someone suggested VB and some one suggested Oracle. Which would be better? We want to do something which is quick and easy as this is just a stop gap measure and the application will go as a part of another application which has Oracle backend in a year or two! Is there any ORACLE TOOL to CONVERT the APPLICATION to ORACLE FORMS?

I have migrated the backend to Oracle using OMWB but I have problems using the application as the SQL in the MS Access application looks specifically for indexes which is not the case in normal Oracle!

Anybody has any clues on how to handle this?

    Any pointers will be helpful

    Thanks in advance,
    -Shyami

They was an artical in OTN, but eventhough you move the data/forms from access to Oracle, the oracle use the access forms to access the oracle table.

    Good Luck.
