You may need to be a bit more specific. I.e what you administer DB's on (Unix/NT).

    Personally I recommend

    Oracle9i Unix Administration Handbook
    Oracle9i New Features book.

This should cover you for most things. But if you haven't got any Oracle DBA book yet, then also get the

    Oracl9i DBA book

To help will all the basic overview on all Oracle architectures and commands. I feel this book is good as a general guide (I haven't got it, but from others I have read). But when it comes to the nitty gritty of a concept, you'll have to chase more indepth Oracle information. From Here, Metalink, or Oracle Documentation.

    Cheers,

Don't forget to buy Oracle University Student guides for New features by David Austin.
