migrating DB

I have a export file that got exported from 8.1.6 database . It is exported with full=y . I created new database on 9i and trying to import full with 8.1.6 client . I know it will import with out any problems . Question is will it overwrite my 9i system catalogs with 8i or 9i catalogs are untouched ? . ( I mean object's owned by sys & system) . I created same tablespaces in my 9i database . I just want my 9i catalog untouched . I know one option importing user by user excluding sys & system . But if i do full import ,am i messing my 9i catalog ?

The catalog objects will not get imported.

1. Full export NEVER export db catalog in full=y.
2. U must use imp utility from 9.2.0 (not from 8.1.6) for import data to new db.

Thanks Shestakov . I am about to use 8.1.6 client . So far I haven't started importing . Why can't I use 8.1.6 client ??Since I took the export from 8.1.6 client and I can connect to 9i by 8.1.6 client . Will it give any problem . I don't have 9i client on my desktop . I have to install
