    Hi, to install Oracle9asi on Pentium 4 you have to rename the file symcjit.dll to symcjit.old.
    My questions.
    1-Does the renaming causing and problem during the
    installations ?

    2-there is any patch from oracle to solve this problem ?

    thanks

    no the renaming does not cause a problem with the installation.

    Yes there is a patch:

    Patch::1507768

    But please look on metalink for others patches as well. For example, if you use or will be using OEM with this there is a different patch. So doublecheck on metalink to make sure with this. The specific patch mentioned above is for the installer only.

    Also, when I did my install on Windows 2000 the patch did not help one damn bit. So just rename the file and good luck!

    Also look at note 131299.1 for specific steps to this process. Look at doing primarily solution 2.
