    Hiiiiii,I am new for sunsolaris.
    I want to connect by using telnet.
    I was opend telnet promt.
    Then how to connect oracle?
    I know my username and password but i don't know how to connect oracle from telnet,any one can give steps for my it is very simple question.

    Ideally you should install the Oracle client software on your computer and run SQLPLUS on your computer to connect to the Oracle database. Your DBA will need to help you configure the tnsnames.ora file on your computer so that you can connect to the database.

    If you telnet (or better yet - use secure shell) to connect to the database you would just run sqlplus and give your username/password:

    sqlplus username/password

    hai
    using telnet,

    goto ORACLE_HOME
    then to bin
    then give sqlplus
