    Unhappy

    Hello.

I'm working with Windows NT 4.0, and I've just restarted Oracle
    Services.

But this time, I get these messages:
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMETNSListener.
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMEAgent.
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMEDataGatherer.
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMEClientCache80.

    - 'Oracle ServiceMYDB' started succesfully.

Now, when trying to connect Oracle:
    > SVRMGRL

    I get this error message:

Oracle Server Manager Release 3.1.7.0.0 - Production
Message 4505 not found; No message file for product=RDBMS, facility=MGR
Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-12538

Do you have any experience with this problem?

Thank you very much for your interest and best regards.

Set the oracle_home, oracle_sid before start server manager.

Better if you put this variables in the registry.

    Cheers

Question ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress

    Gracias, Angel.

    Thank you for your answer.

I don't get anymore ServerManager error (No message file for product=RDBMS, facility=MGR), but I still have the errors from Services initiation:

Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMETNSListener.
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMEAgent.
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMEDataGatherer.
Could not find key for service OracleDEFAULT_HOMEClientCache80.

And now, if I try to connect to ServerManager as system/manager, I get this message:

ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

As you say, the database is in progress of startup/shutdown, check the alert.log file to view what is happening.

    Cheers

    Angel
