Thread: enabling java option

    hi guys,
    i'm trying to install Oracle Application Server 9i on a windows 2000 server, when i'm in the middle of the installation process and in the Portal configuration i get a message stating that the database on the host name i provided does not has the java option enabled.
    what can i do to enable the java option in the database server?

    You should install JServer option.

    run $ORACLE_HOME\javavm\install\initjvm.sql then initsqlj.sql
